Our Story: A Sweet Tradition Since 1993
How It Started
The Buñuelo Factory was founded in 1993 by Paul Campos, inspired by a community need for fresh, fried pastries. For decades, Paul, his wife, and their son Erik Campos poured their heart into crafting the crispy, sweet buñuelos that families still line up for today.
Our Mission
At the Buñuelo Factory, our mission has always been simple: to preserve tradition and bring families together. Whether it’s Christmas morning, a birthday celebration, or a Sunday with loved ones, our buñuelos have been a part of countless family memories across San Antonio.
The Tradition Continues…
After years of dedication and many bustling holiday seasons, the Campos family decided it was time to retire and pass on their legacy. In 2025, the Buñuelo Factory found a new home with The Pineda Family—owners of Papi’s Barbacoa and La Luz Tortilla Factory.
The Pineda Family is honored to continue the Campos Family’s tradition while bringing new energy and growth to the Buñuelo Factory.
Together, both families share the same vision: keeping the taste of authentic San Antonio buñuelos alive for generations to come.
